Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "W.H. Lehew & Co. / Strasburg.VA," circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flared rim, brush-decorated with a series of graduated swags around the shoulder. A 7/8" base chip and some minor base chips. Tiny nicks to shoulder molding. H 8 1/2".
