Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "E.B. TAYLOR / Richmond. Va," attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, semi-ovoid churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, featuring diagonally-stenciled geometric design, including a stenciled 4 at shoulder. Base stenciled with advertising for Richmond, Virginia merchant, E.B. Taylor. Shallow rim chips. Staining to surface. Surface chips to reverse. A tiny chip to left handle. Right handle with a small chip to one end, minor wear to opposite end, as well as a tiny nick. Wear to inner rim for lid. H 16 3/4".
