One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Alexandria, VA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the elaborate stenciled advertising, "E.J. MILLER & CO. / WHOLESALE / DEALERS IN / QUEENSWARE, CHINA / GLASSWARE & C . / 63 KING ST. / ALEXANDRIA. VA." Freehand stripe decoration above and below. Some wear to cobalt and surface. Staining to surface, primarily to reverse. H 10".
