Two-Gallon Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Southwest VA or NC origin, mid 19th century, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, angled rim, and applied lug handles, the surface with unusual whitish slip coating under a clear salt glaze. Various thin cracks throughout. Chipping/wear to rim. H 10 1/4".
