Four Pieces of New York City Advertising Stoneware, New York City or New York State origin, second half 19th century, all with cobalt-highlighted advertising, a half-gallon jug stamped "W.H. HARRISON / WASHINGTON AVE & / PACIFIC ST / BROOKLYN;" a half-gallon jug, stamped "A. LEINDECKER / 370 GREENWICH ST NY;" and half-gallon jar, stamped "EDWARD.RAFTER / 3RD AVE COR 120TH ST / NEW YORK;" and a one-gallon jug, stamped "ACKER MERRALL & CO. / GROCERS / WINE & TEA DEALERS / 22 CHAMBER ST COR COLEG PLACE / NEW YORK." Brooklyn jug with a small base chip, an in-the-firing iron drip, and staining. Rafter jug in excellent condition. Leindecker jar with a glazed-over base chip, an in-the-firing chip to underside, and lines to rim area. Acker, Merrall & Co. jug with staining and an in-the-firing ping to reverse. H (of jar) 7 1/4".
