Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Manhattan, NY origin, probably Clarkson Crolius, Sr., early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and heavily-tooled spout, brush-decorated with a stylized flower blossom. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A spout chip, a spout nick, and some minor spout wear. Base chips. Cracks to midsection. Two flakes to midsection on one side. An in-the-firing iron ping to one side. H 14 3/4".
