Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Coolers, Stamped "L. WILLARD & SONS. / BALLARDVALE. MA," fourth quarter 19th century, both in the form of a keg with circular bungholes and tooled-and-cobalt-highlighted banding, a two-gallon example with slip-trailed leaf motif and a five-gallon example with three X's. Two-gallon cooler with spider crack in underside extending partway up reverse in two places, including a small reglued wedge on underside, minor nicks to edge of spout, a tiny chip to interior of rim, and a splotch of paint on reverse. Five-gallon cooler with spout chips. H (of taller) 14".
