Rare Small-Sized Stoneware Jug, Stamped "A. STATES," Stonington, CT origin, first quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled spout, and brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Spout chips. Several minor base chips. Two small, glazed-over surface nicks to front of jug and a minor in-the-firing iron ping to shoulder. H 10 1/2".
