Pleasant, PA Stoneware Advertising, Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt inscription, "LOWE AND HUSBAND / CHECKERD. FRONT / MT PLEASANT. / PA." with stenciled garland below the firm name. Surface wear and a 1 3/4" rim chip on reverse. H 8 1/2".
