Five-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Floral Decoration, OH origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a tulip with shaded details to blossom and leaves, below a cobalt-script "5" with flourishes. A 1" glazed-over chip to one handle and a 1" chip to opposite handle. Two chips to interior of rim. A thin 8" crack from rim on reverse. Some staining. Some small spots of light wear or fry to cobalt. H 12 3/4".
