Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Parrot Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested parrot perched on a leaf. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A small chip and a few minor nicks to interior of rim. A thin, diagonal 3 1/2" crack from rim on front. Some staining to exterior. Water glass staining to interior. H 9 1/4".
