Two Pieces of Frank B. Norton Stoneware, Worcester, MA origin, circa 1870, a two-gallon cylindrical jug with slip-trailed dove-on-branch motif, stamped "F.B. NORTON SONS, / WORCESTER MASS," paired with a four-gallon cylindrical crock with slip-trailed leaf motif, inscribed "1/2" beside the impressed four-gallon capacity mark. Jug with significant restoration below dove and on underside, unrestored fry to cobalt, and minor glazed-over chipping to spout. Crock with a 6 3/4" hairline to left of decoration, a recessed spot of fry and small in-the-firing ping to shoulder, some fry to cobalt, a 2 1/4" area of bubbled glaze to interior shoulder. H (of taller) 13 1/4".
