Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crocks, Norton Family, Bennington, VT, second half 19th century, all of cylindrical, handled form with spotted foliate motifs, a three-gallon crock with floral spray, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT.," circa 1870; a five-gallon crock, stamped "E NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON VT," late 19th century; and a six-gallon crock, stamped "E NORTON & CO / BENNINGTON VT," late 19th century. Smallest with significant, partially-restored exfoliation and a small piece of adhered clay to front. Five-gallon crock with exfoliation and staining. Six-gallon crock with fry to cobalt, a few small rim chips, and a minor handle chip. H (of largest) 13 1/2".
