Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American and German, 18th and 19th centuries, a one-gallon, vertical-handled ovoid jar with combed incising, a cobalt band above, and cobalt highlights to the handle terminals, Manhattan, NY origin, third quarter 18th century; a two-gallon squat-shaped jar with open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an incised and cobalt-highlighted foliate motif, Manhattan, NY origin, circa 1790-1800; and a vertical-handled jar with abstract cobalt designs, Westerwald, Germany origin, 19th century. Manhattan vertical-handled jar with poorly-restored and uncolored handles, cracks from rim, spider lines to base area, and base chips. Incised two-gallon jar broken into pieces with significant restoration. Westerwald jar with small rim chips. H (of tallest) 9 3/4".
