Two Slip-Decorated Redware Flowerpots, attributed to Anthony Bacher, Mechanicstown (now Thurmont), MD, circa 1880, both with flaring crimped rims, tooled accents, and original drain holes in underside, decorated with splashed manganese over cream-colored slip and covered in a clear lead glaze. One with significant loss to rim, additional chips and wear to rim, and a few glaze flakes. The other with a large glaze flake to shoulder, other small amounts of flaking to shoulder, chips and wear to rim, and traces of old green paint to surface. H (of taller) 5 3/4".
