Unusual Miniature Stoneware Jar with G.A.R. Inscription, Northeastern U.S. origin, Dated Nov 21, 1883, ovoid, bean pot form with semi-rounded rim, the Albany-slip-glazed surface featuring the incised inscription, "P.D.C. / A.E. Beers / From Buckingham Post No. 12. G.A.R. / Nov 21 1883." Very nice condition with a small base chip and minor rim nick. H 2 7/8" ; Diam. (at base) 2 7/8".
