Rare Cold-Painted Stoneware Spaniel Doorstop, attributed to the George Bagnall Pottery, Newcomerstown, OH, Inscribed "R.H.M. / 8/8 1908," 1908, full-bodied figure of a seated spaniel on base with desirable chip-carved fur and tail, along with incised details to face, paws, and locket. Old white-painted surface. Underside with rare carved initials and date, "R.H.M. / 8/8 1908," incised before or after it was fired. Excellent condition with light wear. H 10".
