Three Shenandoah Valley Slip-Decorated Redware Egg Cups, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, both of ovoid form with stepped pedestal bases, each dipped in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed copper slip, and covered in a clear lead glaze, together with a rarer example with lead-and-copper glaze over white slip. Tallest egg cup with cracks in pedestal base, a small chip and wear to bottom edge, wear and two small chips to interior of rim, and minor wear to exterior of rim. Middle-sized egg cup with a base chip, two hairlines to pedestal, and a short crack at bottom edge. Shortest egg cup with wear to mouth, two small glaze flakes to rim area, a tiny piece of adhered clay at shoulder, two tiny chips near base of pedestal, and a chip and wear to bottom edge of pedestal.
