Rare Small-Sized Multi-Glazed Redware Jar, attributed to S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1895, ovoid jar with footed base and semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed surface decorated with splashed copper and manganese over orange-colored clay with light scroddling. Excellent condition with two thin pieces of adhered clay to top of rim, a shallow 5/8" in-the-firing flake to rim, and very minor wear to bottom edge of jar. H 3 1/8" ; Diam. 4 1/4".
