Scarce Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spaniel, attributed to John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, molded figure of a seated spaniel with brushed cobalt collar and highlights to eyes and ears. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a few very minor in-the-firing nicks. What may appear as a hairline on the haunch is actually just a wrinkle created when the clay was pressed into the mold. H 2 7/8".
