Slip-Decorated Redware Charger, PA origin, 19th century, with coggled edge, the lead-glazed interior decorated with large daubs of manganese and wavy, S-shaped, spotted, and striped motifs in yellow slip. Charger is misshapen. Glaze loss to interior. A 1 3/4" flake to edge. Additional minor chips and wear to edge. A 5 1/4" crack from edge. Two in-the-firing pings to interior, one of which is glazed over. A few flakes and minor wear to reverse. Diam. 14 1/4".
