Rare Glazed Redware Presentation Jar, Inscribed "Mary W Baizer / 1826," Eastern U.S. origin, 1826, ovoid jar with footed base and slightly-flared collar, and open strap handles, the midsection incised in script, "Mary W. Baizer / 1826." Surface covered in dark-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Rim with wear and a small chip. Light surface wear including tiny glaze flakes. Outer edge of each handle with chipping and wear. A 1 3/8" base chip. Two short, minor hairlines at base. H 8".
