Two Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Marbles, attributed to Henry Glazier, Huntingdon, PA, circa 1831-1854, both hand-formed, one composed of primarily reddish clay with traces of gray clay, covered in a faint salt glaze, the other composed of gray clay with brown slip highlights (a color found in Glazier's brushed designs) and covered in a salt glaze. Provenance: Excavated under the home of Henry Glazier, with permission from the owner of the property. Both in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Diam. (of each) 5 /8".
