Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Decoration, NJ or NY State origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a flower blossom. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Heavy chipping to rim and base. Long cracks from rim. In-the-firing iron pings to surface. H 12 1/4".
