Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "P. MUGLER & CO. / BUFFALO. N Y.," circa 1848-1852, both of ovoid form with semi-rounded spouts, featuring brushed leaning floral motifs and cobalt-highlighted maker's marks. Shorter jug with a minor base chip, some fry to cobalt, and a few in-the-firing contact marks to surface. Taller jug with some fry to cobalt, a small glazed-over iron ping to right side, an in-the-firing surface cracks to underside of handle, and minor base nicks. H (of shorter) 10 1/2".
