Extremely Rare Terra Cotta Face Vase, Inscribed "Bell / Fecit 1875," probably Joseph Bell, Muskingum County, OH, 1875, hand-sculpted in the form of a woman's head with closed eyes and winged tiara atop a black-painted pedestal base. Based incised with Greek name. Incised prior to firing on interior of vase with the inscription, "Bell / Fecit 1875." Two adjacent reglued base chips, measuring a total of 2 3/4". A 1 1/4" base chip. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9 1/2".
