Rare Small-Sized Jar with Alkaline Glaze, Stamped Twice "N" or "Z," Southern U.S. origin, possibly Lanier or Washington County, GA, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and flared rim, impressed at the shoulder and near the base with a horizontal "Z," possibly representing an "N." The first example of stoneware marked in this stamp that we have offered. Excellent condition with a small rim chip and minor rim wear. H 7 3/8".
