Scarce Small-Sized Salt-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Decoration, Randolph or Moore County, NC origin, late 19th century, squat-formed, ovoid pitcher with flared collar accented with coggled designs, the surface decorated with haphazard cobalt brushwork under a clear salt glaze. A large flake to side of handle. Two chips to interior of rim. Minor rim nicks. A 3" inverted Y-shaped line from rim. A few other lines to collar. In-the-firing residue to underside. H 4 5/8".
