Rare Diminutive Stoneware Cuspidor with Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1880, straight-sided form with tall, flaring rim, decorated with a freehand stripe around the midsection, dashes around the underside of the rim, and a large swath of cobalt across the base. Albany-slip-glazed interior. Provenance: From a CA consignor whose mother collected Western PA pottery decades ago. Excellent condition with some in-the-firing dryness/discoloring to surface. Dimensions: 4 3/4" x 3".
