Fine Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Star Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / NEW-YORK," Manhattan, NY origin, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and thick lug handles, decorated with brushed star designs flanking the maker's mark as well as on the reverse. Brushed cobalt stripe along edges of handles. Desirable size and appealing decoration. One handle professionally restored. Rim chips. H 7 1/4".
