Two Small-Sized Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, a half-gallon cylindrical jar, decorated with three vertically-brushed tulips, paired with a rotund jar, decorated around the body with four brushed foliate motifs. Smaller jar features excellent size and form. Cylindrical jar with a 2 1/2" hairline from rim, descending from a small chip, and wear to inner rim of lid. Smaller jar in excellent condition with a small chip to interior of rim. H (of ovoid jar) 5 1/2".
