Four Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Mugs, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, two with cobalt banding and unusual form, stamped "BEER;" one with coggled decoration, stamped "ASSEMBLY;" and one with cobalt banding, stamped "GRANBY, CT / 1896." One "BEER" mug cracked, with in-the-firing iron pings, a minor rim nick, and minor in-the-firing chipping to base. Other "BEER" mug cracked, with rim chips, and a short line in base of handle. "ASSEMBLY" mug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Granby mug in excellent condition with a minor base nick. H (of tallest) 6".
