Shenandoah Valley Multi-Glazed Redware Spittoon, attributed to J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, cylindrical form with footed base, tooled midsection, and rounded shoulder with carved oval opening, the surface covered in cream-colored slip, decorated with splashed copper and manganese, and covered in a clear lead glaze. Minor wear to top edge of rim. Wear and scratch marks to rim and top of spittoon. Minor wear to underside of spittoon along edge. Shallow chips to opening in top. H 3" ; Diam. 6 3/4".
