Five-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to David Parr, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1830, ovoid jar with squared rim, incised banding, and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate horizontal leaf and tulip motif extending around the majority of the shoulder. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a small, in-the-firing contact mark to handle and a minor chip to interior of rim. H 15 3/4".
