Fine Tanware Flowerpot, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid form with tall, flaring collar, attached saucer, and free-swinging ring handles. Dramatic crimping to rim of pot and saucer. Decorated on the front and reverse with an undulating vine in the Western PA style. Additional freehand stripe decoration. Collar and saucer decorated with draped brushwork. A beautifully-thrown and decorated work, difficult to find with both handles intact. Rim chips. Two minor chips to saucer. H 8" ; Diam. (at rim) 8 7/8".
