Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, probably Midwestern origin, second half 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base and short, flaring collar, decorated with a brushed design of a flower emanating from a scrolled stem. Cobalt band to base of collar. Handle decorated with cobalt stripes. The pitcher's thick, stripe-decorated handle is reminiscent of those found on New Ulm, Minnesota pieces. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 6".
