Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped Twice "ELIZ TOWN POTERY," Pruden Family, Elizabethtown, NJ, second quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized brushed foliate design on the front and reverse. Impressed "ELIZ TOWN / POTERY" (sic) under one handle. One rim chip. Small base chips. Minor surface wear around midsection. H 9".
