Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1855, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of thistles emanating from a stem with scrolled leaves. Light cobalt accent to maker's mark. Essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing iron ping to front, which is glazed over. H 16".
