Three-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Crawford County, GA origin, late 19th century, semi-ovoid jug with narrow spout and thin strap handles, the surface covered in a streaky brown alkaline glaze. Provenance: Collection of Dr. John A. Burrison, Atlanta, GA; on loan to the Atlanta History Center, Atlanta, GA since 1986. Excellent condition with some minor surface wear and some in-the-firing chipping to base. H 17 1/4".
