Redware Flowerpot with Two-Color Glaze Decoration, Stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG," VA origin, circa 1890, ovoid pot with tooled shoulder and attached saucer, the surface dipped in whitish slip and decorated with swags in lead-and-copper and lead-and-manganese glazes. Two cracks from rim. A shallow 1 1/8" x 7/8" rim chip. Some exfoliation to base of pot itself and interior shoulder area of pot. Chips to saucer. Calcium residue to base of pot and saucer. H 7 1/8" ; Diam. 5 1/2".
