Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "T,F CONNOLLY / MANUFACTURER / NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.," late 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a leaf, embellished with a spotted trail. Reverse decorated with rare T,F Connolly maker's mark. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Light staining to surface. Excellent condition with light overall staining and a small salt drip to base. H 10 7/8".
