Glazed Redware Pitcher, Hagerstown, MD origin, early 19th century, highly-ovoid pitcher with footed base and heavily-tooled collar, the surface dipped in a streaky yellow slip over mottled clay and covered in a clear lead glaze. Good condition with flakes to handle, two chips to interior of rim, light wear to spout, and a 1/2" in-the-firing ping to reverse. H 5 1/2".
