Rare Redware Loaf Dish with Three-Color Slip Decoration, CT origin, early 19th century, oval loaf dish with coggled edge, the interior featuring dramatic joggled decoration in copper, manganese, and cream-colored slip, all under a clear lead glaze. Flakes and surface wear to interior. A 2" flake to exterior, partially visible from the front of the dish. Other minor rim chips. Black marker museum notation, "CAT. 235," on reverse. L 14 1/2".
