Five-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Upstate SC origin, possibly S.C. Dickson, Greenville County, SC, circa 1880, ovoid jar with flared rim and arched tab handles, the surface covered in a dark, mottled alkaline glaze. Incised "5" twice on shoulder. An approximately 4" restored section to rim on reverse. H 16 1/2".
