Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, both of baluster form with footed bases and and applied lug handles, one decorated on the front and reverse with floral designs and the other decorated on the front and reverse with foliate designs. Smaller jar with a 1 1/4" flake to top of rim, some additional roughness to top of rim, small chips to interior of rim, two minor chips to one handle, a minor chip to opposite handle, and some light water glass staining. Taller jar in very nice condition with two small rim chips. H (of taller jar) 12".
