Very Rare Stoneware Mug with Incised Decoration, attributed to New Ulm, MN, circa 1870-1890, barrel-form mug with footed base, decorated with a large incised and cobalt-accented design of a leafy stem bearing tulip and daisy motif, applied over slip-coated clay. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle. Desirable form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor rim nick. H 6 1/4".
