Small-Sized Stoneware Script Jug with Shelbyville, KY Advertising, American, circa 1885, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, the surface dipped in a reddish-brown Albany-type slip and incised with the advertising, "For pure fine Whiskey / have this Jug filled at McGrath & Bottom's / Shelbyville / Ky." Spout chips. A small chip to handle. A few minor in-the-firing pings to surface. H 7 1/4".
