Redware Plate with Elaborate Slip Decoration, American, 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated in orange slip with an unusual crossed X motif surrounded by four groups of wavy trails. Small flakes and wear to interior. A minor edge chip. A large area of very shallow exfoliation to reverse and an additional small flake to reverse. Diam. 12 1/2".
