One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to the William Capron Pottery, Albany, NY, circa 1800-1805, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with two large freehand slashes on the front and reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing contact mark near base and to handle. H 9 1/2".
