Fine One-Quart Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Northeastern U.S. origin, late 18th or early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base and heavily-tooled spout, decorated with a brushed cross design to front. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A large, tight Y-shaped crack on reverse/side with small surface chip at center of Y. A 1 1/2" base chip. Additional chipping to base, some of which is glazed over. A small U-shaped line in spout. H 10 1/2".
